This 16 hour workshop is designed for those interested in becoming a Birth Doula to expectant parents in the home, birth center or hospital setting.

ICEA Certified Birth Doulas are trained professionals who recognize birth as a key life experience. They attend and support the physical, emotional, and social needs of birthing persons in labor. In addition, they offer guidance and referrals to community resources regarding  self-care, lactation, and other issues pertinent to healthy parenting through the first six weeks postpartum.

The workshop is one critical element in becoming a certified ICEA (International Childbirth Education Association) See program requirements.

Those already providing services to expectant families (Midwives, Child Birth Educators, Labor & Delivery nurses, student nurses) can gain additional skills to enhance their current practice.

This is an excellent course for nursing students who are going into Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Obstetrics as this will give added value to your resume as you seek employment in area hospitals, birth centers, or doctor offices.

This 16 hour workshop provides 16 CE toward ICEA certification and is approved for 16 nursing CE.  There are no pre-requisites to attend.
